teamLab

Founded in 2001, teamLab is an international interdisciplinary art collective that integrates art, science, and technology to produce digital art experiences. A group of artists, programmers, engineers, and architects, teamLab examines how the self perceives and understands the world through experiential and immersive installations similar to Yayoi Kusama’s “Infinity Mirror Rooms” series. Investigating similar ideas as Light and Space artists such as James Turrell, Robert Irwin, and Mary Corse, its art aims to challenge the boundaries of our perception. teamLab’s permanent museum teamLab Borderless: Mori Building Digital Art Museum in Tokyo was the most visited museum dedicated to a single artist. teamLab’s works are in the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Asian Art Museum, Asia Society Museum, Borusan Contemporary Art Collection, and National Gallery of Victoria. teamLab was featured in Artsy’s The Most Influential Artists of 2019.
