Peter Cvik creates images that can not exist without viewers vision, the emptiness that is the part of the work has to be filled by the viewer according to his or her experience, moods, life understanding and so on.Peter Cvik does not want to tell the story, he wants the story to exist only between two, in the field of trans-individuality where the connection has the prime interest.Peter Cvik never creates the reality as it is but only the half forgotten image which is not the reality, but our perception of it and more than that, perception that exists in our mind when the original is missed or forgotten. Nevertheless, it is not a simulacrum, it is mutual place created by our subconscious, something very close to archetype.The landscape in the works has no time, place or specific characteristic but the shadow of reality, half a fantasy about this reality. This layer of our interrogation with outer world is extremely thin and fragile, that is why the artists chooses unstable materials for the image: nets, raped canvas, paper that can be torn or damaged, all this highlights fragility of reality and the whole universe.
