

He thinks a photograph is basically a blunt image lacking any inherent meaning whatsoever, waiting to be attached a meaning only by the viewer through highly complex, usually subconscious processes. Attaching a meaning to a photograph not by the viewer but by its author so that it turns to a container, also involves extremely complex processes and constructing clear expressions with photography is a very difficult task, if not totally impossible. "Whenever I do not feel satisfied with visual gratification or free associations generated in the viewers' minds, whenever I wish to clarify my expression and keep it clear independent of the time and place it is confronted with , I feel free to utilize other means, additional constraction elements, materials other than photographic images, further means of expression, especially words, i.e texts." He also believes that in order for a clear and sophisticated expression / communication to take place, it is important to be local and perform for the audience here and now. This in turn requires that he stays as much in proximity to the audience as possible.
