Orçun Beslen

A graduate of the Sculpture Department at Kocaeli University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, Orçun Beslen maintains an interdisciplinary approach to their artistic production. Utilizing a wide range of materials, the artist does not distinguish between the old and the new; instead, they merge and transform them while taking great care to preserve the inherent spirit of the materials.Based in their studio at the historic Tokatlıyan building in Beyoğlu, Beslen continues to work across the fields of sculpture, relief, painting, installation, and video. Since 2019, the artist has also been producing and collecting stickers, adding a performative dimension to their work by applying these stickers to urban streetscapes. By reconstructing eroded memories through unique methods, Beslen continues to evolve their creative practice.
