Hayal İncedoğan

Hayal Incedoğan’s diverse oeuvre consists of hyperreal paintings of landscapes and figures, semi-abstract compositions of patterns and shapes that she draws from her photographs, installations, mixed-media objects, and prints. Her work translates the instantaneity of capturing an emotion or an image in photography to the slower temporality of painting. “Like most artists do, I see painting as a tool in order to express my living experiences,” she has said. “Regarding these experiences, I abstract concepts and forms and try to express them in the language of painting.”
