Hamza Kirbas

Hamza Kirbas (1992) lives and works in Istanbul, Turkey. After having graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Batman University in 2017 he proceeded in his art education with a Master’s Degree in Painting at Hacettepe University Institute of Fine Arts. He was nominated for the 2018 Blooom Art Award. His works have been exhibited in numerous shows internationally for instance in Turkey, the UK, the US France, Hungary, Germany, Ecuador, Greece and Italy. In his art, which is mostly installative and video-based, the artist focuses on themes of community, social inclusion often using the ‘ Gestuno ’ alphabet, the international sign language.
