Only In My Dreams

Bora Akincitürk

Bora Akıncıtürk challenges the conventional forms of contemporary art, inviting viewers into a space of free interpretation. His works stand out with their critique of the flow of information and modes of expression in the digital age. By decontextualizing and reconstructing visuals, Akıncıtürk questions the individual’s position in the modern world through the theme of anonymity. Using collages of images sourced from social media and the internet, his works highlight how individuals become isolated and embark on a search for identity amidst the chaotic flow of digital information. This dynamic compels the viewer to confront not only the artwork but also their own socio-cultural realities.
